2010 Area Cup Field Marshal Duties
General Duties:
- Keep games running on time, if games are running behind tell the referee to shorten the game to get games back on schedule.
- Have fun, walk around the fields
- Assist in keeping the parents Positive when need be.
- Report un-acceptable behavior
Field Duties:
- Morning:
- Make sure goals are set-up on time & properly
- Knack box & goal locks are securely locked after goal set-up
- Afternoon-last game:
- Make sure goals & equipment are put away correctly & secured/locked
- Inform coaches to tell team to pick-up trash, even if it is not theirs
Check-in player by:
- Verify player rosters vs. Med Release Forms (no med form, no play)
- Check players to ensure
- No jewelry or piercing of any kind. Includes soft bracelets. EXCEPTION: Medical alerts
- Shin guards are being worn
- Soccer cleats do not have a toe cleat (no baseball, football type)
- Make sure the coach completes the game card completely & list players numerically
- Remind coaches to instruct players & parents to pick-up trash.
Collect games cards:
- Verify that both coach's & referees signed the game cards.
- Put game cards in plastic bag in binder. Cards should be paper clipped together.
- Game results will be called into the following phone number:

- Scores will be updated on the Area web site throughout Saturday.
- Binders to be placed in the knack boxes only at Westwood and Mountain View Elem. Remaining binders to be delivered to Kurt Ecklins address listed on the Area Cup Guidelines page.
